Jeremiah and D.C. Hackerott have each been in martial arts for 15 years. Between the two, they have recieved training in: Taekwondo, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, Mauy Thai, Aikido, Judo, Tai Chi, Kickboxing, and PPCT which gives them a solid foundation of knowledge from which to build.

Both of the Hackerott's actively compete in tournaments. Both are previously won several state champions titles and frequently ranked in the Top Ten in World competition. Many HLA students are also very active in tournaments.

While Mr. & Mrs. Hackerott have both been in the Martial Arts for many years, Hackerott's Leadership Academy and KicksKool Fitness opened doors for the first time in June 2006. In 2008 we upgraded our facility to better serve our students. HLA recieved the 2009 Award for most funds raised for the SIDEKICK Foundation. A 2010 Hall of Fame Award for "Growth and Promotion of Martial Arts". And HLA was selected to be listed in the Biltmore's WHOS WHO directory for 2010.
